Buttered Fish At Wing Kee Restaurant, Ipoh Garden South, Ipoh

Classes are going to start tomorrow... and as usual before she goes back, she wants to consume all the food she loves so that the longing will not "taunt" her and make her miss Ipoh food... LOL....

One of her favourite dish is found here in Wing Kee Restaurant, she loves that one dish there where other places do not have.  Since there were only three of us, we ordered three dishes thinking that they would come out in small portions.  But to our surprise, each dish was as big as the other and I think they were enough for five persons instead of three...
Their steamed smooth eggs garnished with onions is a good choice....
Kids will love this dish...
But for three persons, we really have to take big scoops on our plates....
so much so that I will not want this dish again for the next few months or so... LOL...
Saved by these sourish and spicy vegetables.. at least it neutralizes the steamed eggs...
Very nicely cooked... *gau suin gau lak*
There.... my girl's favourite dish of all times...
Only this restaurant has it... "Buttered Crispy Fried Talapia"
*Lai Yau Yue*
Crispy and nice... each piece taken has a crunching sound...
Tell me... healthy or not...   LOL..
But thank goodness, they took the trouble to strain out the oil...
Just look at that...
Enormous portions, right?
Can feed a family of five or six... surely....
Ok, as for the bill, it came to RM52... phewwww...
I was expecting something over RM60...

  1. The price is very reasonable. The second dish is so sour and spicy - will take many bowls of rice to finish eating it.

  5. Hi Claire, thank you for commenting on my post. Upper crossed syndrome is caused by back postures so it can be fixed. If not fixed when old will become really bent and cannot straighten up anymore.

    2. Hello Claire, I have updated my post to include two links on how to identify UCS and how to fix it. Perhaps you can check out my post again. I think in summary it means doing the correct exercise to fix it and don't hunch over computers with bad posture for a long time in one sitting.

Very hoi wai, kan? Wow, I love the butter fish, but I like the wetter version.. I always order the "sap lai yau gai" (wet butter chicken), so they add more milky gravy...
