Cedar Rapids Iowa

Traveling is exciting to any parts of the United States and the first thing that comes to my mind is searching for the best restaurants in Cedar Rapids Iowa.  Alright, let's talk about the food later.  Why did I choose Cedar Rapids Iowa?  Well, for one, I have heard and seen lots of pictures but never been there before.  From what I know, Cedar Rapids lies between the Cedar River, (20 miles north) of Iowa City and (100 miles east) of Des Moines, the state's capital and largest city.  Another interesting point is that Cedar Rapids is one of a few cities in the world with governmental offices on a municipal island.

For those who have a passion for history, this is the place where flourishing center for arts and cultures are situated.  Some of the cultural and museums includes the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library, the Paramount Theatre, Theatre Cedar Rapids, teh Afircan-American Historial Museum and the Cultural Center of Iowa.  Whether you’re looking for a weekend getaway or enrichment in historical culture, the City of Cedar Rapids offers a wide array of things to do and beautiful restaurants to dine as well as affordable places to stay.

Cedar Rapids is nicknamed the "City of Five Seasons", for the "fifth season", which is time to enjoy the other four. The symbol of the five seasons is the Tree of Five Seasons sculpture in downtown along the north river bank. The name "Five Seasons" and representations of the sculpture appear throughout the city in many forms.

As for the places to stay and restaurants to dine at, there is a great selection to choose from and all details and information are there in their website here.  Well, I hope I will have the opportunity to visit beautiful Iowa one day....
