Ginger Meal On A Rainy Evening

This afternoon I received an invitation to a homecooked dinner by my own sister... she can cook very well and I am more than happy to go over for a nice meal.  It has been four or five days since I have a proper rice and dishes for dinner... er... ever since the Abalone meal?

So what did my sister cook for us tonight?  Three dishes...
Ginger with Mui Yuk... (softer leaner meat)
Love the hot ginger especially it is a cold and rainy evening...
A plate of simple stir fry spinach with garlic... minus the abalones this time....
What caught my attention is this dish....
Steamed talapia with lots of ginger, preserved beans, chillies and ..............
and..... can you see them?
I know they are not so healthy...
But then they really enhances the taste of the saucce...
And when eaten with the fresh fish, the taste was .... hmmmmm.......

Thanks for the yummylicious dinner, Sis...
A very satisfying meal for me...
*Hope its not my turn to cook tomorrow*
LOL.....

  6. Haha, are you talking about the deep fried pork lard? Lucky that I am not the one eating or else I will have a difficult time picking them all out as I don't eat them.

Your sister is really a good cook. Very tasty dishes. So kind of her to invite you over for a meal. Must ask her to do it more often, hehehe.

  7. Ginger is heaty. If your cough is due to heatiness of your body (with sore throat, lots of phlegm, and maybe, loss of voice), you should eat less or not eat at all...and do go for cooling stuff like green bean porridge/soup. If yours is a cold cough, then ginger is good.
