Sunday Activities And Health Products On Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all Papa-s!! It is a beautiful Sunday and we started off our activities with a hearty breakfast at a Dim Sum Restaurant in Ipoh Garden East.
Now with my grown-up kids, I have to take a backseat...
Let the young stress over the traffic....
but sometimes I still end up being a backseat driver..
Part of the food displayed...
Aaron misses Ipoh food so much that he wants to take all the food at one go...
we ordered quite a lot of varieties
and I was expecting that we would not be able to finish them all.
I was wrong.... We did finish them all !
On the way to our shopping, we stopped by to "visit" their father, my husband...
Just a few short minutes a prayer and we were on our way again to the shopping complex...
Ever since my girl entered college, she becomes very health conscious...
Every morning she eats these for breakfast...
Sometimes she buys a few boxes to take back to her hostel...
Too bad she does not have a fridge over there...
She loves the yogurt drinks and milk here below as well....
If only the semester holiday is on now, she said...
She would have ended up buying lots of these products and storing them in our fridge...
Since there is a contest going on too, the chances of winning the prizes will be higher!
I don't really mind storing them up...
After all, these products are beneficial to our health!

  1. Post Cereal Great Grains is nice. I like to eat them and always store a few boxes at home. Is that your daughter driving in the first photo with her eldest brother sitting beside her?

On father's day, it is a must to "visit" their father and say a special prayer. I think their father must be very happy to "see" them all grown up now.

  5. sure happy when your kids are back home to spend time with you, even your appetite become better to wallop more food, right?? haha..

oh, your girl loves that brand of yoghurt and yoghurt drink ah?? I used to buy that last time but not now.. I feel they add in too much thickener in the yoghurt and they taste like starch to me.. and the drink is way too sweet, I now bought another brand, Farm Fresh, square white bottle with no coloring.. :)

  6. ahhhh, those are actually very delicious, though a little sweet. I like to mix them with muesli to cut through the sweetness but no, i don't eat them on a daily basis.

    1. Yes, mixing in some flakes or muesli can divert some sweetness away...

  10. If there's no fridge in the hostel, she buys the individual packet Dutch Lady milk (which doesn't need to be refrigerated) and pour into the cereal? I used to love cereals too, but "3 minutes hot" only, keke..

    1. Yes, she bought a packet of the soya grain milk too yesterday.. though not really encouraged but they are better than not drinking at all... Cereals mixed with yogurt is quite nice actually...

An Evening Dinner At Chef Chew Kitchen, Petaling Jaya

BACK TO SG. BULOH for a couple of days.... Come evening, we went for dinner at Chef Chew Kitchen in Seksyen 19, Petaling Jaya.  Since it was my first time there, I did not know what to expect except to sit back, relax and eat.  LOL... It is a one shop lot restaurant so tables are very limited.  Reservation was made at 6pm to be on the safe side, to avoid crowds and waiting for food was very minimized at this time of the day.  For the seven of us, these dishes were served on the table... Thumbs up even before the dinner...  And soon these are served...  Claypot braised ribs...  Their signature dish... Fish Maw...  First time eating fish maw which is whitish in colour...  Black Beancurd with Pumpkin sauce... Hey, this restaurant indeed serves new to me! This must be Sweet Sauce Chicken... For the American... Cos we Asians like Steamed Chicken like this!  LOL...  And the star dish of the dinner is this...  Freshly steamed and succulent prawns

Reunion At Museum Restaurant At Starling Mall

CLASSMATES REUNION... but not from my year.  i just tagged along with my sister who wanted my company that evening.  She was going to meet up with some of her classmates at The Starling mall.  I did not want to drive there, taking Grab is a much easier and practical choice, considering it was rush hour in the evening.  Furthermore, I am not familiar with the roads... both of us might panic on the federal highway.  LOL...  Having someone to take us there is so stress free, we only have to pay RM20 for the ride.  :)  Our first time to Startling Mall and being made familiar by one of the bloggers, Phong Hong who used to post up her lunch meals taken from there.  We were supposed to meet up at 7pm but we reached there an hour earlier to "survey" the shops and ended up buying a "bit."  Blame it on my sister who always like to give positive comments most of the time!   The dinner was held at The Museum.... Originated from Ipoh actually and how there is a branch

Night Market Along Lee Garden Plaza Hotel, Hatyai

BY THE TIME WE REACHED THE HOTEL, it was almost dark. This time round, we took a longer rest in the hotel... my girl might not need it but I certainly did!  After recharging around 80% of my body strength, we were ready to explore the streets again. Our hotel is really a strategic spot for us tourists.  The street vendors were all ready to boost their sales in front, at the side and along the whole stretch of street where we stayed.  Left, right, front... the place was filled with people and tourists like us... I could hear some of them speaking my dialect, we felt kind of at home instead of being tourists.... Besides the street vendors in front of the hotel, there was a night market just five minutes walking distance away from our hotel, Lee Garden Plaza.... Maybe they only opened during the weekends?  I am not sure about that.. .anyway, we were kind of excited to see all the bright lights along the street.... Come... Let's Go! We started from the beginning of the str
