Best Hakka Noodles I Tasted At Jalan Pasir Puteh, Ipoh

The moment she arrived in Ipoh, we went for a hearty breakfast in Jalan Pasir Puteh, Ipoh. I think it has been many years since I last stepped into this Hakka Restaurant for breakfast.  This shop is quite far from my house and by the time we reach, there would be no more noodles or anything else to bite...

But this morning we had the opportunity to have a nice plate of Hakka noodles here.  Thanks to my girl's friend who dropped her back to Pasir Puteh, I quickly drove over to this area to pick her up and we quickly adjourned to this shop for their best and famous Hakka noodles.  My girl has never tried this before till this morning.

The crowd was there even though it was nearly 11am....
Too bad there were no more varieties of mixed fish paste (Yong Liews)....
Next time we must come a Bit earlier!

Every table is full to the brim...
but we just need to wait around 15 minutes or so to be served....
First came the fish and meat balls... 60 cents for each...
One bowl like this is just not enough....
We ordered another bowl while in the midst of eating...
The Worth Waiting For ...
Hakka Noodles...
I like the texture of this noodles here...
Not too dry as in some places...
And not too saltish as well...
The taste is just great...
And I wouldn't mind having another plate!

  1. Hakka noodles really looks good. Almost look the same as what we have over here except we used minced pork or chicken meat. To me, the noodles is the same.

  5. This one looks similar with the famous one in Penang, near the Sungai Nibong bus terminal. Except they don't use pork lard here. I'm going to go there for lunch next week!

    1. Oh is it? I have been to the one near the Sungai Nibong Bus terminal... forgot the name.. corner coffeeshop which sells the famous koay teow thng... !

    2. Not that one, the one in the kuay teow thng shop sells yong tau foo only without hakka mee. This one that I am talking about is in another direction from the cross junction. The shop doesn't have a signboard with name, but their receipt says Famous Kampar Fish Jelly. I guess they are a branch.

    1. No dark sauce is used here... normally minced meat as toppings and accompanied by yong tow foo...

  7. I have eaten my fair share of hakka noodles here andI usually ask them to cook the noodle softer as I find the noodles too firm. Did your daughter make a special request to eat this hakka noodle this time? I thought she prefers sushi or western food.
