Goodbye 2015, Welcome 2016

My 2015 started with much activeness I have never experienced before and the year ended with a pang of "inactiveness" that I have never experienced before either.... Now sitting down quietly in front the computer, I am digging back my old posts and looking back of what this year has been about for me....

JANUARY
Spending our first CNY without our beloved mama....

FEBRUARY
My last time punching clock....

MARCH
In Johor after CNY ....
And Aaron's departure at the Changi Airport...

APRIL

A short getaway to Adelaide....

MAY
Two months working vacation in California....

JUNE
Working for my food and lodging....
And that includes vacationing as well!!

JULY
Departing from San Francisco Airport...
Bye Bye....

AUGUST
 CHIJ 1977 Reunion Gathering!

SEPTEMBER
Flying down south for two weeks....

OCTOBER
My biggest challenge in life began....
But flew to Europe regardless...
for a 3 weeks vacation on WHEELS!

NOVEMBER
Departing from Schnipol airport, Amsterdam back to Malaysia....
Came home safely in one piece...
Thank God!!

DECEMBER
It is time to settle for a quiet Christmas after all these "rock and roll"
Yes, rocking on the streets...
And rolling from one country to another...
Phewww.....

It is time to take a "breather"...
Quiet down and relax....
No more active activities for now....
My round-up for 2015...
Till we meet again in 2016....
Active or inactive, yet to be seen....
ANYWAY...
Whatever lies before us next year...
WISHING YOU ALL
HAVE A BLESSED AND HEALTHY 2016!!!

Our Orders From Afghanistan, Spanish And Australia

My Final post on the Food Festival in the Victoria Market on Wednesday night.... The atmosphere at the market was "enhanced" by the cheerful songs and music by a group band... It was indeed a merry evening filled with music-licous folk songs in the air... . Ok, how to find four seats in this crowd.... hmmmm....... Somehow we managed to... and these were what my boys brought back to our table.... Mexican rice with oysters... or is it Spanish rice?   Both are the same, I guess... LOL.... Afghanistan Food.... chunks of chicken meat with naan.... Brazilian food.... don't ask me what it is.... I just ate what was on the table....  But I am amazed by this giant burger....  ..... and what burger is this? They told me it is Crocodile Tail Burger! Meat from the crocodile tail?  Is it just a name or what... I really don't know... Took a few bites of it... and I am full!! Well, these were the food we

My Failed Project In Baking Mini Egg Cakes

FAILED THIS TIME..... I don't know why, I follow exactly the ingredients and the method written in her website but it was not successful.  Something went wrong somewhere but I don't think I want to try it again.  This recipe is called Mini Egg Cake which is supposed to be soft, airy, light sponge cake but the way I made them, they turned out hard and crusty cake.   If I try again one day, I will half the portion... cos I like to eat these traditional egg cakes.... The Ingredients...  No point putting the recipe here since I failed..  LOL...  The portions of this recipe....  It looked very promising when I put them into the oven.... Even when they were in the baking process... they look good, aren't they? LOL...  I was so happy just by looking at the mini egg cakes in the tray....  And after they were let out... my heart sank....  The minute I took them out from the tray, I knew... Hard at the top...  Tak Jadi = Failed.... Now come to t
