Scenes Along Penang Roads

THE WEATHER WAS SUPER HOT IN PENANG.... however I prefer the sunshine over rain anytime.  Despite the hot air here on the island, we did not stay indoor to enjoy the cold air, we came out to do some sight seeing, driving along the busy roads in town.

Firstly we need to drop by here at the municipal to "donate" some money to them.  hahahahaa... Yes, we were here to pay a parking summon.  We did not mind paying the sum but we really do mind waiting for more than an hour just to pay the small sum.
Yes, free parking for customers using the kiosk but we just parked there anyway.  There was just one staff at the collection counter and we waited for more than an hour for our turn.  We made a mistake too... never ever go there during noon unless we bring along our iPad next time!  hahahaa..
Since I was not the driver, I have the privilege to take some pictures
as the car moved through the roads along the city center....
But don't ask me exactly where and the name of the roads, I really do not remember...
These are around the government office area....
Maybe Penangnites who read this post will enlighten us...
Can someone tell me what building this is?
I know this one... An old church way back long ago....
On the way to Bayview Hotel....am I right?
Colonial building....
Cititel Hotel along Penang Road... this one I sure know...
hahahaa...
Driving along Penang Road, the heart of the city....
Around the corner....
Approaching Komtar Building...
The tallest building in Penang with 65 storeys...
The Komtar Tower....

  4. Eh next time go to Komtar to make the "donation" lah. They have a few counters there, so you don't need to wait that long!

Eh eh eh, wrong wrong wrong. There should not be a next time for such occasion!

Btw, hijack the comment a bit: you have any idea if those local delights in Ipoh, those taugeh chicken and kopi places, will they be open already on Nin Chor 5 (Friday)? I might bring a guest to explore Ipoh on that day, but if the food is not open then pretty pointless :/
