Taiping Style At the Larut Matang Food Court

GOING UP NORTH FOR A PURPOSE..... On that very morning, we decided to have our breakfast in Taiping since it is on the way... After having my daily cup of Chia Seeds, we started off the journey at around 9 in the morning ....
From toll to toll, it is around forty minutes drive...
then it takes another fifteen minutes or so to reach the food court in town...
I was yearning for a plate of fried koay teow, Taiping style...
but it seems there are a few stalls selling the same thing...
Quickly I called up my friend and she told me that there are two nice stalls....
I opted for the Number 78 stall...
The other one will have to wait till I go Taiping again.. :)
And this is what I got.....
Something different from Ipoh or Penang....
We also ordered this to try... looks kind of ravishing...
Yes, indeed the noodles are springy... just what I like...
And being hungry and greedy, I ordered another two pieces of toasted bread, Taiping style...
Must have some sweets after the savoury.. then only I feel contented and satisfied...
After our morning heavy meal, we proceeded on with our journey on the highway via Kamunting exit...

  1. Oh? Taiping style is different from Penang style? You can come and try Sibu style, see which one you like best...and Kuching style too - their tomato kway teow. I like!!!

  6. The one and only big food court in Taiping. I am surprised that so many people do not know of Taiping style CKT, judging from the comments. Taiping is my half-hometown so I know. Fish balls are awesome! :P
