Crispy Fats With Ex-Colleagues At First Garden, Ipoh

NEED TO GET SOMETHING SIGNED IN MY EX-OFFICE THIS AFTERNOON... so I quickly made some calls to my ex-colleagues to make sure they were around when I reached... LOL... So nice to catch up with them and when all my forms were duly signed by a professional engineer, the three of us ended up going to First Garden to have some delights and crispy "snacks!"....

Upon reaching First Garden, another two retirees were there waiting for us already!  So good to be together again for a delightful time of food and chattering.... OH MY... what did we order?  All of us were already salivating and drooling over the crispy Roasted Pork at Kwong Chow...
Three layered RP!
Still warm and crispy....
The word "cholesterol" naturally disappears from my mind that very moment....
Never mind the word FATS, this is worth ordering too!
Enough for the five of us?
Oh, one plate of rice with one braised egg was on the table too...
Partly hidden from the camera.... I mean the eggs...
Getting ready to "wallop" these with my friends...
One for album before we put piece by piece into our mouth....
Good Food, Good Friends....
We must do this more often...
In another place and time!!

  4. Mun here. 5 persons only one plate of rice? Even with the siew yoke, sausage and kuih, I don't think the food is enough for lunch for 5 persons. Good food as usual, I want to try the kuih with coconut flakes.

Three Hours City Tour At Ensenada, Mexico

A THREE HOURS CITY TOUR when we embarked in Mexico on the second morning.   My sister booked the three hours city tour in Ensenada, Mexico, a van came to pick us up from the port.  Ensenada is the border of Mexico and it reminds me of Hatyai, a border town too between Malaysia and Thailand.  We were taken to a shopping area where we must haggle for the goods.  LOL.. Yes, something common in my own country... Anyway, we did not buy anything for ourselves... just a wooden handmade truck for my grandson which cost $8usd.   Nothing much to shout about on this three hours excursion, I was so sleepy on the way back to the ship that I dozed off and only awaken when we were driven through the town.  All in all, I just wanted to step onto Mexican soil and I would give this a miss if I were to go on this Mexico cruise again.  LOL... At the open area shopping walking towards the Blowhole... This is La Bufadora Blowhole, an amazing natural marine geyser that is capable of shooting water over 60 fe

Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner At San Jose 2022

TABLE FOR FOUR... We had our own reunion Chinese New Year dinner on Monday evening.... we made a simple one, just hot pot at home.  All we have to do is to clean the vegetables, get everything defrosted... and the hot pot boiling with a packet of seasoning.  They sell a lot of hot pot seasoning over here, from tomato soup to shrimp and chicken soup, I just threw in the whole packet of paste.  No doubt not so healthy but it is so easily done....  As usual, Chinese New Year won't be CNY without a plate of Loe Sang...  No crackers so I put in a few pieces of Tacos... LOL... Most important is the sauce....  The apricot, plum sauce and honey makes it right.... And our dishes for the evening..... We ate too much shrimps the day before so we omitted for this evening.... Simple and yet satisfying meal for our Reunion Dinner....

Phil's Fish Market And Eatery, Moss Landing

DAY TRIP TO MOSS LANDING...  I did not know what to expect since I had not been there before.  We took an hour plus drive to this seafood place, it is an open air restaurant whereby you can dine by the sea or inside.  We chose the latter, since it was quite windy in the open air.  With a baby kid, it is best to have some warmth inside the restaurant. Yes, there was already a queue by the time we reached there, it was actually between lunch and dinner and yet, patrons were ready to have their meal.  Though the queue looked long, we could get a place within 10 minutes or so.   Almost the same picture but someone was looking at me when I took these...  Almost reaching the finishing line to enter ... Clam Chowder to start off...  Cioppino... A combination of seafood... Mussels, prawns, crabs, clams...  Eat what the fishermen eat... Dip the bread in the sauce... Yes, I like this... Fried chicken chunks...  And I still prefer the Cioppino compared to this....  Baby enjoying his own food befo
