Bak Kut Teh Hin Hock In Tampoi, Johor

BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY WITH THE SKY UP BLUE...
We took a nice drive to Tampoi for lunch, a dear friend recommended that the Bak Kut Teh is famous there.  I am not sure I have been there before or not, it looks pretty familiar though when I reach there.  Well, don't ask me how come I don't remember, really I do not but my son said I have been, only that they have shifted from a run-down shed to a bigger looking neater space nearer to the main road.  No wonder....

The place was crowded to the brim when we reached around 1pm, if we want to avoid the crowd, best to go either at 11am or after 2pm.  Anyway, as the saying goes, if we can't beat them, let's join them!  Anyway, orders were made at the front and in about half hour or so, the food arrived....
Full to the brim....
There is a small stall outside the shop selling Muar Otak Otak... RM1.10 for each...
These were better than the ones we had in Pontian the other week...
Fish flesh is more visible than the previous time....
Then our dishes arrived..
Fresh steamed fish which was on almost every table.... or should I say... all...
One look and I know this fish is very fresh... ahemmmm.... RM45
And the garnishings... just look at their generous fried garlic!
My girl could easily finish it all!
Then their signature Bak Kut Teh... RM20
We refilled the soup two times....
A small plate of Kiam Chye... *salted vegetables* RM3.00
And the three dishes came to around RM79....
With Clear blue skies, we headed back to our little nest to laze......
After all, it is a Sunday....
