A Stroll At Straits Quay, Penang

THE LAST TIME I CAME TO STRAITS QUAY, it was booming with people...
When I went there on Sunday evening, it was quite quiet and peaceful.  Maybe I went there a bit too early, most of them might be having dinner somewhere else.  Delicious restaurant is no more there, I remember when I came here few years ago, there was a queue going to this restaurant.  We had to wait to be seated... I love their cakes there...

We spent half an hour there this time... just to walk around before we proceeded for our wedding dinner at Hollywood restaurant as mentioned in my previous post.
Straits Quay by the seafront...
I noticed a few yachts for sale....
I wonder how much one cost...
A Row of yachts docked here..
A panoramic view of Straits Quay
Come, let's take a picture...
Facing the seafront...
The visitor centre...
One more shot before we moved on to our next destination...

  1. I was wondering what this small tower is...so it's a visitor center. My favorite picture today is the third. I love all your boat pictures, but especially seeing into the boats from the back. The blue one is so pretty. I bet we never would have enough money in our whole life to buy a yacht!

  4. Thanks for loving my hometown always and your frequent visits certainly boosted their economy higher. My gang of school mates dined in KL last week and all chose to return & retire in Penang Island. I think that tiny yachts are less than RM20K averagely for 2nd hands. Those bigger ones with 6 seaters above could exceed RM100K! Buy one lah Claire and we can partay with beers & bikini. Hoo-la-la!
