Western Food At Padi House Greentown, Ipoh

WESTERN FOOD AGAIN!!

In less than two days, I never thought I would be eating western food again.... But I certainly did... The dinner was kind of unexpected, I mean the place where I went... Initially my friends and I have planned to go Nam Heong to see the robot waitresses,  in fact, we did go there... but we left after a few minutes.  The place was crowded, the robots would never keep up with the patrons.  If we were to order, I guess we have to wait for a long while before food is served.  Anyway, food is not the main attraction, I am sure people went there just to see the lady robots serving food... LOL... Since the news was published, we were kind of curious....

Back to my topic, we left Nam Heong and we adjourned to Greentown.  As usual, parking is very limited in that area especially it is a weekend.  Somehow we managed to get one and the nearest place to our parking is Padi House.  Since it was already 8pm, we did not want to wander around anymore to look for Chinese cuisine.... everywhere seems to be crowded with people by then....

And that is the reason why I ended up taking western food again... this time I have this....
Fettuccine with grilled herbs chicken... RM17
Portion looks small but it is just nice for me...
With the piece of meat, I am full to the brim...
My friend had their Padi House special... RM14
Rice, egg, chicken chop plus coleslaw... yes... coleslaw too!
And another friend had turkey and bacon with carbonara... RM22
She said it was not creamy enough...
But I could smell the cheesey flavour even though I was sitting opposite next to her...
We thought of going for desserts but after the heavy meal,
we decided to call it a night....
Time to shed off some calories this evening!
LOL...

  3. I did not know about the robot waitresses. Googled for the images and am now very curious on how they operate. Good that for your pasta dish, they serve you the gravy separately so that you can control how much gravy to use.

My Failed Project In Baking Mini Egg Cakes

FAILED THIS TIME..... I don't know why, I follow exactly the ingredients and the method written in her website but it was not successful.  Something went wrong somewhere but I don't think I want to try it again.  This recipe is called Mini Egg Cake which is supposed to be soft, airy, light sponge cake but the way I made them, they turned out hard and crusty cake.   If I try again one day, I will half the portion... cos I like to eat these traditional egg cakes.... The Ingredients...  No point putting the recipe here since I failed..  LOL...  The portions of this recipe....  It looked very promising when I put them into the oven.... Even when they were in the baking process... they look good, aren't they? LOL...  I was so happy just by looking at the mini egg cakes in the tray....  And after they were let out... my heart sank....  The minute I took them out from the tray, I knew... Hard at the top...  Tak Jadi = Failed.... Now come to t

Our Orders From Afghanistan, Spanish And Australia

My Final post on the Food Festival in the Victoria Market on Wednesday night.... The atmosphere at the market was "enhanced" by the cheerful songs and music by a group band... It was indeed a merry evening filled with music-licous folk songs in the air... . Ok, how to find four seats in this crowd.... hmmmm....... Somehow we managed to... and these were what my boys brought back to our table.... Mexican rice with oysters... or is it Spanish rice?   Both are the same, I guess... LOL.... Afghanistan Food.... chunks of chicken meat with naan.... Brazilian food.... don't ask me what it is.... I just ate what was on the table....  But I am amazed by this giant burger....  ..... and what burger is this? They told me it is Crocodile Tail Burger! Meat from the crocodile tail?  Is it just a name or what... I really don't know... Took a few bites of it... and I am full!! Well, these were the food we

Home Cooked Dishes

NOT MUCH HAPPENING... and lazy too.... My neighbour gave me half pumpkin and I have been keeping it for a couple of days before I finally decide what to do with it.  I cook it into small chunks and sauteed it with minced meat, okra and basil leaves.  Yes, it would be great to put in some small cilipadi but unfortunately, I did not find any in my fridge.  Steamed a bowl of rice and that was meal for dinner.... One dish meal....  Pumpkin reminds me of sweet potatoes...sweet after cooking... Another dinner meal consist of Sambal Fish, black pepper met and a hard boiled egg  I only boiled the egg, the other two dishes were "sponsored" by my neighbour... LOL...
