Our Long Wait At T S VIP Restaurant, Ipoh

EATING TRAIL CONTINUES...

Back in Ipoh, we went for a promotional set dinner at a restaurant which has just shifted from Heritage Hotel to the Ipoh Country Club.  The restaurant is called T S VIP and it was giving out meal sets at RM388 for 10 people.  We made a reservation two days in advance and when we reached the restaurant, we were told that our reservation was not on that evening but the following day.  Oh no.. we specified that it was on a Friday, not Saturday, we told them that we ordered the set personally, no phone calls, nothing.  Anyway, after hearing our explanation, they laid out a table for us... and we chatted and chatted.... till an hour later, the food had not arrived yet... By then all of us were super hungry and we called in the Captain.... this time he apologised profusely cos he did not know about this earlier...

After the first dish, we had to wait another half hour again, oh dear.. the captain was called again and after that, all the other dishes came out continuously....
Our first dish... a combination of this and that...
And within minutes.. this scenerio...
LOL.. that shows how hungry we were by then!
Then this came... followed by the rest...
Fragrant chicken rice...
Mongolian Curry Chicken Bun...
Steamed Garoupa...
Some greens with egg gravy...
And noodles for the Birthday Boy...
Plus desserts which I did not manage to take...

All in all, the food was not bad.....
Though the long wait and feeling hungry,
we still manage to smile for the camera!
LOL..

  3. It all looks delicious! I guess the long wait was because they got your reservation mixed up.

  4. RM388 is so very very cheap!!! Hope it was because of the mix-up with the reservation. If I had to wait anywhere under normal circumstances, I would never go back again!

  5. Nice first dish. The set up was creative.

Other than the long wait at first, the food turned out sumptuous.

Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner At San Jose 2022

TABLE FOR FOUR... We had our own reunion Chinese New Year dinner on Monday evening.... we made a simple one, just hot pot at home.  All we have to do is to clean the vegetables, get everything defrosted... and the hot pot boiling with a packet of seasoning.  They sell a lot of hot pot seasoning over here, from tomato soup to shrimp and chicken soup, I just threw in the whole packet of paste.  No doubt not so healthy but it is so easily done....  As usual, Chinese New Year won't be CNY without a plate of Loe Sang...  No crackers so I put in a few pieces of Tacos... LOL... Most important is the sauce....  The apricot, plum sauce and honey makes it right.... And our dishes for the evening..... We ate too much shrimps the day before so we omitted for this evening.... Simple and yet satisfying meal for our Reunion Dinner....

Three Hours City Tour At Ensenada, Mexico

A THREE HOURS CITY TOUR when we embarked in Mexico on the second morning.   My sister booked the three hours city tour in Ensenada, Mexico, a van came to pick us up from the port.  Ensenada is the border of Mexico and it reminds me of Hatyai, a border town too between Malaysia and Thailand.  We were taken to a shopping area where we must haggle for the goods.  LOL.. Yes, something common in my own country... Anyway, we did not buy anything for ourselves... just a wooden handmade truck for my grandson which cost $8usd.   Nothing much to shout about on this three hours excursion, I was so sleepy on the way back to the ship that I dozed off and only awaken when we were driven through the town.  All in all, I just wanted to step onto Mexican soil and I would give this a miss if I were to go on this Mexico cruise again.  LOL... At the open area shopping walking towards the Blowhole... This is La Bufadora Blowhole, an amazing natural marine geyser that is capable of shooting water over 60 fe

MISSING IN BLOGGING AGAIN.... this has become a norm now ever since I arrived to this continental... LOL... Now I understand the word of Full Commitment when it comes to taking care of baby... seriously, I have to be fully commited and occupied by this little cheeky fella who is now going to be his 10th month soon.  Wow... time flies, when I first came, he was just slightly over four months... that being said, it is soon time fo rme to pack my bags and leave.  LOL... My 6 months being a babysitter is soon over... and did I say I can hardly wait?  NO, NO... I love my job here and I am going to miss my baby tremendously!  I only don't miss his cries!  LOL...  OK, by the time I write this post, Chinese New Year is over, it is now the 4th day of CNY.  Two days before the Lunar New Year, my daughter-in-law and I cooperated fully and baked a few types of cookies.  Looking back at these pictures, I dare say that we did a good job... not on the cookies but at least we had a great time bond
