Korean Noodles On A Cooling Night

COOLING NIGHT...  For the last few nights, the weather was very cooling.  We could survive even without the fan for some minutes... LOL...

Since it was a cooling day, my kids suggested cooking their favourite Korean noodles called Jin.  They saw this 5 packet Korean noodles at AEON, they haven't seen this brand before so they wanted to try them out.  One pack cost around RM11 something....

I am not a maggi/cintan fan lover so I was not sure whether this could be good or not.  After that night, I changed my mind, I decided this is something I would not mind eating again.  Their soup base is pretty good, not dilute and MSG taste like our local noodles.  Well, I suppose the price is also somewhat different compared to this Korean noodles.

For dinner, I opened a can of Tulip luncheon meat and sauteed a vege dish to go with the noodles.  As for the noodles, I left the cooking to the youngsters....
I thought there would be leftover but we heartily finished them all...
My son bought the 40% less sodium one...
My mixed vegetables with sambal dried shrimps....
I was told we must eat like this...
Bring the whole pot out and on the table....
Just like the Koreans... *really?*
They cooked only 3 packets for the 4 of us....
Good decision....
It was one nice dinner for a change....
As usual, they like to have dinner while watching their favourite Korean dramas!
If I can't beat them, I join them... LOL...

  2. Where's the photo of the packet of noodles? The ladies in the house buy ALL KINDS of Korean noodles. I had one that was quite good, clams soup. Most are SUPER spicy - not for human consumption!!!

  5. What Korean drama are they watching? Oh mine, I cannot resist those luncheon meat. I watched the Korean Drama, The Penthouse, a few episodes and I didn't like it, very "violent" , I prefer light hearted and romantic comedy drama.

Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner At San Jose 2022

TABLE FOR FOUR... We had our own reunion Chinese New Year dinner on Monday evening.... we made a simple one, just hot pot at home.  All we have to do is to clean the vegetables, get everything defrosted... and the hot pot boiling with a packet of seasoning.  They sell a lot of hot pot seasoning over here, from tomato soup to shrimp and chicken soup, I just threw in the whole packet of paste.  No doubt not so healthy but it is so easily done....  As usual, Chinese New Year won't be CNY without a plate of Loe Sang...  No crackers so I put in a few pieces of Tacos... LOL... Most important is the sauce....  The apricot, plum sauce and honey makes it right.... And our dishes for the evening..... We ate too much shrimps the day before so we omitted for this evening.... Simple and yet satisfying meal for our Reunion Dinner....

Three Hours City Tour At Ensenada, Mexico

A THREE HOURS CITY TOUR when we embarked in Mexico on the second morning.   My sister booked the three hours city tour in Ensenada, Mexico, a van came to pick us up from the port.  Ensenada is the border of Mexico and it reminds me of Hatyai, a border town too between Malaysia and Thailand.  We were taken to a shopping area where we must haggle for the goods.  LOL.. Yes, something common in my own country... Anyway, we did not buy anything for ourselves... just a wooden handmade truck for my grandson which cost $8usd.   Nothing much to shout about on this three hours excursion, I was so sleepy on the way back to the ship that I dozed off and only awaken when we were driven through the town.  All in all, I just wanted to step onto Mexican soil and I would give this a miss if I were to go on this Mexico cruise again.  LOL... At the open area shopping walking towards the Blowhole... This is La Bufadora Blowhole, an amazing natural marine geyser that is capable of shooting water over 60 fe

Now I understand the word of Full Commitment when it comes to taking care of baby... seriously, I have to be fully commited and occupied by this little cheeky fella who is now going to be his 10th month soon.  Wow... time flies, when I first came, he was just slightly over four months... that being said, it is soon time fo rme to pack my bags and leave.  LOL... My 6 months being a babysitter is soon over... and did I say I can hardly wait?  NO, NO... I love my job here and I am going to miss my baby tremendously!  I only don't miss his cries!  LOL...  OK, by the time I write this post, Chinese New Year is over, it is now the 4th day of CNY.  Two days before the Lunar New Year, my daughter-in-law and I cooperated fully and baked a few types of cookies.  Looking back at these pictures, I dare say that we did a good job... not on the cookies but at least we had a great time bond
