Simple Steps To Homemade Strawberry Jam

JAMMING MODE... but not musical type of jam...

I remember the last time I made strawberry jam was in 2020 when the MCO started in March.  A lot of food stuff were displayed in Facebook, home delivery, vegetables, fruits, you name it, they have it and they delivered right to our doorstep.  Cameron Highlands was badly affected, with no tourists, the vendors have to deliver their grown stuff to us.  I ordered vegetables and strawberries then...

And now it is MCO again, I ordered strawberries once again when I saw them advertised in Facebook.  They were selling at RM30 for 6 boxes which comes around to 1.2kg.  I thought of making strawberry jam again for own consumption... I took five packets of strawberries to make jam, leaving one packet for fruit juice the next morning.
Soaked, cleaned and cut into pieces... all 1kg of the strawberries...
Added in some rock sugar and honey instead of refined sugar...
Make it to a boil and then lower the fire....
Have to keep stirring for at least half hour.....
Till the jam is thickened....
And from the 1kg... only 2 1/2 bottles of pure strawberry jam.....
And now I have to wait for my baking mode....
These will go very well with Scones!!

  4. Does your home made strawberry jam have a tinge of sourness? I like strawberry jam with a tinge of sour taste.
