Festive Raya Mood

This week is gonna be a relaxing week... Hari Raya Aidilfitri... most government office will be very quiet and isolated, but most of my colleagues are still here today, touching up their last minute work, some are in a raya mood, buying and distributing their biscuits and delicacies and later before they go back, they will hug each other, same time wishing one another before they go back to their country homes ie. "kampungs."

For us, non muslims, we will look forward to tasting their festive food after this week... there will be lots to eat... (food again). Meanwhile, we will stay and hold the "fort" till they come back... yawn... how I wish I could go to sleep... my Moonlight Resonance is become my midnight matinee each night...

MY CELL GROUP MEMBERS attended a birthday bash, invited by this handsome young man here with his lovely wife. He is in his middle 70s... a magician once upon a time but now a christian "scholar", we used to tease him. Though in his 70s, he is still very young at heart... crooning away the songs of the 60s that night......."Mona Lisa" "Unchained Melody" ......

Fish Balls Noodles In IPOH Old Town

My battery for the day is my breakfast, without it, I dont have energy, and no energy, work can't be done, and...no work means no money and no money.... NO FOOD. (crappy talk)

This coffeeshop is in old town, opposite Batu Pahat Goldsmith shop which was robbed few times over the years. Coming back to this Hoi Hin coffeeshop, I have been coming to this shop ever since I first started working during the late 1970s... (oops, please dont calculate) ..Over the decades, only one lady stayed on, the others have either long retired, now shaking legs at home. Nevertheless, the taste is still the same from those days. It is always crowded in the mornings and by 10am, most of the goodies are finished by then.

at times, people would rather stand outside and wait for their turn...

my energy for the day, can last me till dinner time...

there were 5 of these fish balls inside the bowl... imagine how much protein I took for today... and this meal cost me RM3.30...

Moonlight Resonance Versus Blogging....

It is almost 1 am now and I am still sitting here in front of my computer. Now my blogging has to move aside to make way for Moonlight Resonance which has taken over my free time since 2 days ago. The show is getting more and more interesting each day... I am looking forward to weekends where I can watch and stay up longer. But will I end up having panda eyes instead?

My uploading of pictures will have to wait...

I have thought of waiting up to catch opportunities but it seems the mosquitos under the table here are catching my 'blood' instead... I better go.... before they suck me dry....

Claypot Bak Kut Teh in IPOH

Lunch was at Jalan Chung Thye Phin Road, along Ave Maria Convent School.... My colleagues and I were quite hungry today so we ended up eating Bak Kut Teh....

Frankly, I don't really fancy eating .... Bak Kut Teh..... its all meat, meat and meat....and the smell of the strong herbal soup, some people love the taste of it, for me, so-so only, I don't drink the soup .... (then why was I there?) But this shop (sorry, I forgotten the name)...it is famous for this "tubak" (claypot meat) and since we were hungry, we ordered these ....

side dish "yau chow kwai"....(deep fried flour) dipped into the soup..
and of course with 5 bowls of rice, cost us RM40.00 + drinks

Today my colleague Leng Gu lent me 8 original DVD chinese series... original one...not pirate cds, OK... She bought them for RM56.00, thanks to her, me and my kids are able to watch for free.

1st chapter beginning 5 minutes, tears wetted my eyes...chey.... watched further on, wanted to cry some more, use some self control power, the tears stayed put inside......chey...

Just finished watching 3rd chapter.... interval.... otherwise, cannot blog tonight....
