She Works Hard For The Money...

I am in Penang now with my kids.... It is almost 1.30am now and I am still blogging away... The purpose of coming to Penang is to see the college which Andy has enrolled in. WE reached the place around lunch time and we were greeted by a staff upon entering. The Deputy Principal, Mr William was kind enough to brief us about the college and he even showed us around the college.

Well, I hope Andy will be pleased with his college where he will be spending his 4 1/2 years here. As long as he likes this place, his mum will also be happy..... With food and lodging plus course fees, it is a hefty sum of 80K or so....

That means..... *got to tighten up the belt*

Less holidays, lesser traveling...
More work, more blogging...

Pampered And Then Butchered...

After showing all the yummy food, perhaps this will give an adverse effect...

Yucks!! Whose chu kwok are those??
(should be called pai kwat kwok-Fleshless)

soaking our beautiful legs in hot boiling water..

We were taken to this medicine factory and were given special treatment before they "butchered" us with their products....

Firstly, we were given herbal hot boiling water to soak our poor legs... then each of us were pampered with a half hour "legs massage".....

Lastly, we were almost Pestered to buy their products....ahhhhh... yeah, right, I ended up buying some packets of herbal medicine to soak my poor legs in my own home... Cost me RM75 for 20 sachets...
(yes, bet many of u are calling me STUP____.... soh soh tei)

Nanjing Tour And The Guide

In Nanjing, we visited the Memorial Hall of Nanjing Massacre, it was quite a sombre place, no photos were allowed so I didnt take any... we were taken into the hall where they exhibited the place where 10,000 people were killed during the WW2.... We were not allowed to laugh or make noise, out of respect for the dead... it was quite an eerie feeling when I was inside....

this is the Nanjing bridge
where a lot of people died
when it was built during Mao Si Tung's time

we were always fed with eggs and more eggs daily... perhaps the reason is to give us more protein so that we have the energy and strength to walk and walk......

Day One In Shanghai

Day 1 - After landing in Shanghai airport around 7am, we were taken to this place for our breakfast.... oh dear, I cannot remember the name of this place, it is either Cheng Huang Miao Shopping Street or People Square (please forgive me, I am illiterate in Mandarin)... as far as I know, we came here to eat the little dragon dumplings and to look see, look see....

I was very impressed by this place,
it must be called the People Square
because all I saw were people and more people...

tour guide (in black) reminding us
what time to assemble back in this place...

Starbucks, I can see u here...

now... must go look for the food..
Dragon Dumplings, here we come!

4 of us ate ordered around 20 of these
siew loong pau (s) (dragon dumplings)
and one must know the technique of eating these..

firstly, u bite an opening
2ndly, u slowly suck out the juice
from this dumpling..

then put some striped ginger...
and open your mouth...ahhhhh... ngam...

this also needs sucking expertise..
do it slow otherwise might burn tongue one...

after eating, i walked around and saw them "doing" these..
i mean preparing the dumplings...
and i notice... "no gloves" la....
never mind de...
what has been swallowed were delicious...
yours truly could still walk around..

walked around...look see look see....

snap , snap...

my friend bought one of these dolls..
50rmb = rm 28.00
not cheap leh..
