An Aftermath...

I M SO LAZY TODAY! Why? sigh.. back to work lo.. after taking 2 days off and having 7 days of rest, I m just too lazy to start work. Still in Chinese New Year mood, office is also quiet, thank goodness. No urgency, no contractors lurking around the corriders, no chasing of payments... at least...serene, can relax a bit especially after some late nights before.

Yesterday was an upturn in my life, I realise that I will miss my kids if they go off for their further studies when they reach 18. My son who was supposedly leaving home for KL to further his studies took a roundabout turn. An incident made him change his mind and he now realises home is still the best but then, of course, soon or later, he has to leave the "nest" and to face the world in a matter of weeks from now. But for the time now, he and I will continue to appreciate each other's presence in the house, never to quarrel, never to squabble ... right Andy? (*winks*)

  1. Mee too. Today got start to work. But still in holiday mood.

  2. yeah.. still in holiday mood too.. just heard this coming tuesday another public holiday for perakians... hehe..

  3. sudah besar, sudah berkokok lor....hehehehe.

  4. hi Claire, i'm here for a visit.. i've been lazy to blog lately too. and i've made pittance lately on ping pong piang lately...

  5. Me too. Today got back to work and I was swarmed with lots of tasks and a cold engine in me. I was 'woken' up only when boss talk to me on project updates where I was still blur blur... It's really a roller coaster between two extremes, total relaxation and work stress.
OK la..they have to go to pursue their careers and life...

  6. oh yes, going back to work isn't always easy. although, I do like having things "normal" again.
    Have a great weekend!

  7. hehehe....yapp...more bonding of mommy and son LOL

  8. wow, that is quite a turnaround. but good for you and him - more appreciation now. and this will in a way help prepare you in the future :) (think most mummies and some dads miss their children lots too) :)

Our Orders From Afghanistan, Spanish And Australia

My Final post on the Food Festival in the Victoria Market on Wednesday night.... The atmosphere at the market was "enhanced" by the cheerful songs and music by a group band... It was indeed a merry evening filled with music-licous folk songs in the air... . Ok, how to find four seats in this crowd.... hmmmm....... Somehow we managed to... and these were what my boys brought back to our table.... Mexican rice with oysters... or is it Spanish rice?   Both are the same, I guess... LOL.... I just ate what was on the table....  But I am amazed by this giant burger....  ..... and what burger is this? They told me it is Crocodile Tail Burger! My Failed Project In Baking Mini Egg Cakes

FAILED THIS TIME..... I don't know why, I follow exactly the ingredients and the method written in her website but it was not successful.  Something went wrong somewhere but I don't think I want to try it again.  This recipe is called Mini Egg Cake which is supposed to be soft, airy, light sponge cake but the way I made them, they turned out hard and crusty cake.   If I try again one day, I will half the portion... cos I like to eat these traditional egg cakes.... The Ingredients...  No point putting the recipe here since I failed..  LOL...  The portions of this recipe....  It looked very promising when I put them into the oven.... Even when they were in the baking process... they look good, aren't they? LOL...  I was so happy just by looking at the mini egg cakes in the tray....  And after they were let out... my heart sank....  The minute I took them out from the tray, I knew... Hard at the top...  Tak Jadi = Failed.... Now come to t
