Dinner And Dessert At Lot 10 And Jalan Alor, Kuala Lumpur

It was almost 7pm when we went down to the lobby to meet another special guest called Gabriel! I had not seen him since Chinese New Year and it was great to see him again. He used to have a blog but due to workload commitment, his blog is more or less sitting "idly" at the corner. LOL...
Anyone here recognize him?
Both of them look alike, right?
More or less "brothers" to each other and "sons" to me...
From the hotel, we walked to Lot 10 for a light dinner...
Both Aaron and I were still full from the cocktail taken at the Orchid Lounge...
The view from the hotel front.... the sun has set when we sat out....
Walking to Lot 10 foodcourt....
Aaron ordered some noodles.....
....to go with Bak Ku Teh (Tu Bak)
One set cost RM20... oh well, KL standard, right?
Gabriel got this for me.... I didn't ask for the cost...
Bet it isn't cheap either....
I gave half to Gabriel before I started to dig on it...
After our dinner, we walked around a bit and ended up in Jalan Alor.....
Took a few pictures but all of them turned up very blur....
Maybe too much distractions along the way....
From the starting of the road, we walked till the end and turned back...
Finally, we ended up at this durian stall along the way....
We sat down to have our "desserts!"
The price was "amazingly high" ... RM35 per kilo...
Thank you Gabriel for the "Durian-licious" Treat!

  1. He looks different now. Used to look alike, not anymore. Ahhhhh!!!! You went to Lot 10 Hutong - handpicked stalls by YTL from among the best in KL. More expensive, of course...cooler mah, more comfortable than at Jalan Alor, so hot and dirty and if later in the night, one would not feel very safe...or me, at least - things there are not nice anymore these days. You see a lot of Banglas, Myanmarese, Indons doing the cooking at many of the stalls there.

    2. I agree with Wee Kean... they see you, they want to pull you inside to their stalls, you really look like a Big Boss! Yes, you are right, many of them are foreigners there... so many of them "ajak-ing" us along the way... but we kept saying we have makan-ed so they didn't bother about us...

  2. The durian really looks good. Is the flesh creamy & bitter? Seems to have a great feast in KL, eh.

  5. RM20 - not really KL price but mall's food court price. There are still some roadside stalls in KL that serve food that are not that expensive but no air cond of course.

  6. After dinner, good to have a walk and see the sights in Jalan Alor. I don't think I have ever been to Jalan Alor at night even though I live 30 mins drive away.

  9. hahaha, i think we are all your "sons and daughters" lah, because you are the "Mother of All Bloggers", muahahahahaha!! errr, i think that is not the standard KL price, but the Lot 10 Hutong price!! they brought in all the famous eateries in KL under one roof, and then charge a premium price.. if you go to their original stalls, it's much cheaper (and probably more delicious!!)..

  11. Their eyes look alike, haha.. Food is ok, like you said, KL standard.. A plate of char kuey teow at that Lot 10 place might cost like RM7 per plate.. Ooohh, so you guys merayap around that place la? That place quite "chap", don't like to merayap there at night, but I'm ok going there during the daytime - for shopping!
