Buried Under The Green Green Grass Of Home

COOKING MODE IS ON IN REANACLAIRE'S KITCHEN...

When I have the mood, I would cook a scrumptious meal for the family... Yes, that only happens  when the lazy mode is not around.  My dishes have no frills and fancies, not refined at all, my presentation is very "rough"... in cantonese, it also means "choe loe"... To have a refined dish, I must go for "patience" cooking test....  then perhaps my dishes will be more presentable... and one of the dishes I am going to show here, it is over and beyond presentable.

Saw fresh Golden Pomfrets for sale in AEON and I bought one home for only RM12.00.  Dug my fridge for some condiments such as lemon, lemongrass, big onions and 101 only fresh chilli.   Great, just enough for me to do a Thai style steamed fish.
Just look at my beauty.... with makeup and all the deco....
Now I realize that what's missing are some tomatoes... to go round as well....
Never mind... next time perhaps....
The next thing I did... was to "bury" my beauty....
I think my kids will "faint" if they see all these "grassy" stuff!
With lots and lots of Greens....
Sorry, I do not know what these are called!
Until now I still do not know what I bought....
But they certainly blend well with the fish...
Steam it well for 15 minutes or so..... and after that.....
VIOLA!!!
My One Dish Meal is Done!!
So.....
Anyone dare/care to join me the next time?
*All lari kuat-kuat*
hahahahaa....

  1. First 2 photos, the fish is a beauty.

I also want to faint when I scrolled down and saw what you add. Haha.

Hmm. The green looks like parsley. Or is it coriander? I usually add those green after the steam for that added smell.

But lovely done, Claire. I salute you. Am sure your kids have no complaint and eat it.

  4. As long the cook is hygienic, I am more than happy. An additional bonus if the food is delish.

The farmer whose house I am staying in this rural village have made some nice edibles but she is not hygienic. Flies hovered around food, work surfaces and water. There are things growing in the fridge and in bottled stuff. I am not kidding.

She offered me water melon and the flies swam around it.😳

    Get me out of here!

    2. I left the farm yesterday. I am still on the Aegean Coast of Turkey.

Perhaps, these are healthy flies, lol. I had not been sick yet. I must have more friendly gut bacteria than most people😆
