I went out for an Indian meal with two of my male colleagues and they recommended this shop they usually frequent... It is called Salim Restaurant along Jalan Yang Kalsom. All I did was to order my drink...and then they ordered the rest of the meal in their own language which I didn't bother to ask...
I love drinking coconut water...
It has lots of nutrients and it isn't surprising this one cost RM3.50
I did not know what my colleagues ordered for me until .....
.... this Long Thingy arrived!
Oh my Goodness...
Both of them ordered the normal Tosai..
But mine is the Abnormal one....
They really wanna make fun of me!
But actually one can finish this Paper Tosai as it is called..
Very crispy and thin...
I folded it in the middle and crushed it down...
hahahhaa... very messy and sadistic....
But I like it !!
Paper tsai sounds wrong LOL
ReplyDeletehahahaa... my my!! What a blunder I made!!! Thanks for pointing it out!!
DeleteWowwwwww!!!!! Sooooo long!!! I k=like Indian. Love thosai, my girl too!
ReplyDeleteMy kids don't know how to enjoy eating them... as yet! hahaaha..
DeleteWow, that's very longggggggggggg
ReplyDeleteYes, can finish or not? :)
DeleteIndian foods, no thank you
ReplyDeleteAiyoh yo... why not?
DeleteWow, first time see such a long tosai, interesting!!
ReplyDeleteSerious! Next time you order.. nice!
DeleteWahhhhhh can I have one to? :)
ReplyDeleteSure sure... after Raya? :)
DeleteWow, so long. Is this the one same as the tall one, forgot the name. I seldom take Indian food and so far I only know roti canai & tosai.
ReplyDeleteThis one is paper tosai.. Yes, I think some made it high.. hahahaa...
Deletemuahahahaha!! because your colleagues know you like it BIG and LONG mah~~ kekekekekeke!! and how thoughtful the ordered a coconut for you to "cool" you down~~ :D
ReplyDeleteYou forgot to put in "friendly" too.. like in SCB... hahaha...
DeleteOMG, that's the longest dosai I've ever seen! Hahaha!
ReplyDeletehahahaa... that was why I couldn't finish it...
DeleteI like paper tosai! But still prefer roti canai the best : )
ReplyDeleteRoti Canai I also like.. but too oily la...
DeleteI have never seen anything like this! Is it hollow and then you dip it in sauces?
ReplyDeleteYes, you dip it with the curry fish or some other beans mixture.. .
DeleteI don't dare to order this because it would be so messy to eat it, the crumbs will be flying everywhere, hehehe. Since you love it, can order this again. :)
ReplyDeleteI recently discovered that in some shops, they put a spoonful of sugar into the fresh coconut after they opened the coconut!!!! I was shocked and don't dare to order fresh coconut anymore.
Oh no.. I don't want ice and sugar.. just original... Nothing beats original coconut juice...
DeleteYes, that was why I folded into half otherwise my hands will be tired.. hahaha..
Yes nothing beats the original coconut juice. The thing is they do not tell you they put in the sugar into the fresh coconut and the juice is still served in the coconut with no ice.
DeleteI was laughing so loud when I read: They wana make fun of me.. Hahahaha.. No la, they wana let you try something special only izzit.. Reminds me of roti tissue, but roti tissue is vertical one la.. Yours is horizontal.. Eh, no problem what, like you said, just crush the middle, and eat! Kautim!
ReplyDeleteActually I tried before last time.. but they thought I haven't... hahaha.. just want to see my expression!
DeleteI love this! Look like roti tisu except this is rolled. Really huge! How much is it?
ReplyDeleteIt cost RM2.50... Not expensive.. but enough to last me for quite some time..
DeleteAunty go so far eat breakfast ah ?
ReplyDeletehey bro, did I mention breakfast?
ReplyDeleteOoo..I like I like!! So crispy and wondering if cannot finish how to tapao back.
ReplyDeleteHave to finish.. cannot take away.. you and i share one then.. hahaha..
DeleteGoodness hah..hah...that thosai is really long! But since it is thin and crispy, I think it is not really a lot. So, finished the whole lot?
ReplyDeleteNo la.. couldn't finish leh.. another one third... phew.. the guys had to finish it... :)
DeleteYour paper tosai looks good la!
ReplyDeleteThere's something similar here as well, but it's in pyramid shape!
Whenever I had long chats with friends I would order the famed KL's Roti Paper which looked like your long thingy! They have Malay Mail (smaller) or NST(Longer)... They would spread with condensed milk and sprinkle sugar!!! Wow! So heavenly laaaaaaaaaaa
