Oriental Cuisine At The Crispy Duck Restaurant In Cardiff

THOUGH WE DID NOT DO ANY SWIMMING IN THE SEA, INHALING THE SEA BREEZE AT RHOSILLI BEACH HAVE THE SAME EFFECT as to swimming!  Lol....

The four of us were very hungry by the time we left the beach and It was amost 7pm when we reached The Crispy Duck in Cardiff.  This restaurant was recommended by my ex-classmate, in fact this Pan-Asian restaurant is opened by her brother.  Husband and wife team, specializing in oriental Chinese and Japanese cuisine with some dish influences from China, Thailand, Malaysia and Japan.... When I heard that, I Must Go!

Using Waze, we managed to find the place easily.... We were greeted pleasantly by a friendly girl from Hongkong.  Wasting no time, we ordered a few dishes from the menu and while waiting, Aaron got engrossed in a newspaper clipping on the wall.

Unfortunately, the boss was not around but he left word for the staff to entertain to our orders...
Soon our dishes arrived.....
No crispy duck ordered cos yours truly is refraining from quack quack meat...
Big bowl of Tom Yum seafood with big prawns and squids....
The treasures were embedded beneath....
This is Honey beered chicken or something like that...
The sauce has a tinge of sweet and savoury taste... Very Nice...
Eggplants which I love eating and eating....
This is beef in some special sauce too... Very appetizing....
And the Hungry Four!!
The dishes might look small in size but do not judge by its size.
They were more than enough for us and until this day, I am still salivating over the Tomyum!
Finally.... When we asked for the bill, the sweet staff told us that it was on the house meal from the boss himself!!   Oh My!!  Though we do not know him or seen him before, it is so nice of him to give us a complimentary dinner..... I quickly called him to thank him but I guess he was still at an important meeting and I messaged our sincere Thanks to him!

Well, I guess my friend must be behind the treat too... So here I say... Thank You to the Lee-s!
If anyone were to drop in to Cardiff, this is where we feel closer to homecooking food....
The Crispy Duck, an Award Winning Oriental Restaurant!

Love Rhossili Bay At Swansea

SECOND DAY IN CARDIFF- We started off the day driving up to NewSouth Wales University to pick up a friend and we proceeded to Bridgend which is around an hour away.  We stopped at Bridgend Designer Outlet Shopping Centre for a couple of hours, all because of my girl.  Something new to her and she spent a couple of hours walking around and eventually ended up buying just one piece!  Phew...a Big relief for me!!  Lol....

After our lunch at the food court, we continued on our journey to Swansea!   Aaron told us that we must visit Rhossili Bay, it has been voted into the top four of Britain's Best Beach by TripAdvisors Travellers’ Choice for four years running AND was the first beach to be awarded Britain's Best Beach for two years in succession!  The journey up the narrow roads were quite challenging and took us around 45 minutes to reach the spot....
The landmark ... Rhossili Bay....
Hotel named after the famous Worm Head island....
As we walked down the road leading to the hills.....
And one song came to my mind....
The hills are alive.....
With the sound of sea breeze......
Beautiful sight...just mesmerizing....
Layers and layers of waves.....
Panorama view.....
The Worm's head stretches out to sea and becomes an island when the tide comes in. The breathtaking view is completed by the long sandy beach and the towering cliffs and this makes it a popular destination throughout the year with surfers, paragliders and ramblers. However, Rhossili still manages to maintain its tranquility and unspoilt beauty.
We were at the cliff overlooking the sea....
Warning.... Steep cliffs....
However the young are very adventurous.... I get cold feet just looking at them from a distance..
That is the furthest I could stand and pose....
My cool pose... Lol...
Yes, I wish I could fly....
See the cliff behind me..... That is nothing compared to others...
I think I am safer with the sheep....
They are te happier lot!  Did a lot of Yaying Jumps!
We took numerous pictures just at the bay here....
A Must Visit place if anyone were to visit UK.... Swansea!!

Cardiff Bay And Gourmet Burger Kitchen In Cardiff, Wales

WE WERE CONTEMPLATING WHETHER TO DRIVE OR NOT TO DRIVE TO CARDIFF BAY... After much consideration, we opted to,walk for we know that parking is a problem going and coming back.  Though the walm took almost half an hour, it was really nice to walk in the cooling weather, furthermore, it was a straight road from the Ibis to the bay.  No turning, straight on and my girl managed to catch some pokemon friends as we walked and walked....
Straight walking paths leading to the bay....
Almost reaching....

This is the Millennium centre... an Arts centre at the Cardiff Bay...
The Centre comprises one large theatre and two smaller halls with shops, bars and restaurants.
We walked around the area... Not many tourists in sight...
Mainly because it was a weekday...
The Pierhead Building is a Grade I listed building of the National Assembly for Wales in Cardiff Bay, Wales. It stands as one of the city of Cardiff's most familiar landmarks and was built in 1897 as theheadquarters for the Bute Dock Company.
And here I am...
At the quay....
With my friend as well....
Where shall we go first?
Food, of course!!
After the long walk, we were very hungry.....
Aaron recommended Gourmet Burger Kitchen!
Classic burger ... They made their own patties, so I was told...
Amazingly, I could finish one without any problem....
Side orders.... Cheese truffle fries!
Sweet potatoes...
And groundnuts are bottomless... Can eat all we want.....
Each burger cost around £5 and Since I am not the treasurer, I never want to remember....
Just eat, walk, sleep will do!  Lol....
