Seafood Restaurant Yew Kei At Tanjung Tualang

LUNCHING AT TANJUNG TUALANG...

Many have not heard of this small town Tanjung Tualang before, it is about 40km away from Ipoh town.  The township is famous for their freshwater prawns... not so much on crabs which I have thought all along.  Gone are the days when I used to come here for lunch with my kids and friends when I used to send them back to Petronas University.

We trio continued our day trip to this corner restaurant called Yew Kei, among a few restaurants on the same row.  I think by now we have tried them all and their prices plus the food are almost the same as one another.  For the three of us, we did not order much, we need to save some space for dinner!  LOL...

Andy requested for Fried Oyster with omelette...
A Small Size plate of their signature noodles...
Indeed it was very tasty... just look at the generous toppings!
Plate of Wild Ferns called Paku Pakis....
And of course, their famous steamed prawns... medium sized...
Two for each of us...
The best part is always the head which can also be "hazardous" for some... LOL...
For the 4 dishes above, the price came to around RM100...
The portions were just nice, no need any packaging home...

Trip To Tg. Tualang On A Beautiful Sunday

My Penang trip is postponed again... waiting for my friend to nod her head before we can set out our journey to the island.. This week she is held up again so I guess our trip will be postponed till another week or another.. :)

No worries for me though, not going means I can go see my girl in college today at noon. Drove a 45 minutes journey to her uni and then another 20 minutes to Tg Tualang for our lunch. Bought her lots of cookies and two mooncakes too, can be able to last her for some days...

Reached Tg Tualang and we proceeded to  corner restaurant called Yew Kei...

Just opposite the market....
This's the shop....
Ordered fried oysters....
This time they didn't do it crispy enough....
Paku Pakis Vege in Sambal...
This one is good for constipation, right?
Steamed Talapia in heavy gravy...

One plate of stewed "sang mee"
Tasty enough...
While the Meehoon is so-so....
Food for four of us....
Now you see them...

Now you don't....  haahaaa..
Total cost.. RM72.00

My full-stomach face...
Too full that I have to skip dinner now...
**Burp**
Excuse me....

Weekend Sunday lunch in Tg Tualang... It has been two weeks since I last saw my girl and before I leave for my short travel, I dropped by and took her out for lunch...
On the way to Batu Gajah....
In the vicinity grounds in the college...
By the time we reached Tg Tualang, it was almost 1pm or so...
This time we tried another different place called

We ordered...
Hakka Fried noodles...
my girl requested for mixed noodles..
sambal paku pakis...
steamed "Pak Sook Koong" fish...
and the "funny looking" fried Or Chien..
(oysters omelette)
This time the bill came in cheaper compared to the other one here..
The previous shop we went to charged us RM93!
But the total cost in this shop is only RM58 plus drinks!
