What We Ate In Tokyo

WE SPENT ONLY THREE NIGHTS IN TOKYO...

We arrived a day earlier than my second son and family.... and the next morning we went to Tokyo Tower.  My eldest son had not been to Tokyo before and he wanted to explore the busy Tokyo streets and shopping malls, and of course the Food!

We took the Metro to Tokyo Tower...
Not easy with two small kids...
We have to look for elevators which are not easily accessible..
At times we ended up carrying the stroller up... without the kids!
This is my second time visit to Tokyo Tower...
The other time was in 2016 and my hair did not shine then...
LOL....
There was a food fair at the tower...
Yes, we tried the food samples as we walked along...

Tempura is a common sight in restaurants...
I love the sweet potatoes...
Sashimi is the youngster's favourite...
I will take two or three pieces max...
We have Ramen almost every day....
My kids love it...
And of course, they must bring their mom for her sweet tooth desserts!
Macha....
My son told me this is Spaghetti dessert....
Desserts fixed for the day!

Our Family Trip To Japan

BUSY BUSY...

I feel retired life is very hectic for me, either I am too active or I don't have much stamina to keep up with my lifestyle now.

Sometimes I feel breathless especially when I am anxious....

Traveling is still my passion but I cannot walk as fast as before.... I still travel....

And I just came back after a two weeks vacation in Tokyo/Hokkaido/Kuala Lumpur.  Started my travels on the 29 November and now I am back in Ipoh.... finally.

I wouldn't want to miss this trip....
It was our first family trip....
We reunited in Tokyo....
Take it easy, Reanaclaire...
I have to remind myself...

Ramen And Rice Roundup In Osaka

JUST ON FOOD.... JAPANESE FOOD...

I told my friends that when I reach Malaysia, I will not take Japanese food for a long long time... LOL... Yes, almost each day it is Ramen and Rice, Ramen and Rice... with the same taste of soup.  I was yearning for some Chinese food by then.  LOL... But I must really compliment their rice texture, they are really fragrant and "chewy"... Even though I bought a packet of Japanese rice before in the mall back home, the texture is still different, not as nice as what I have tasted here in Japan itself.

Here are some food pictures I took during our three days stay in Osaka...
Ramen... Ramen...
Ramen.. Ramen....
Ramen ... Ramen....
Ramen.. Oh Ramen....
Ramen in dry style....
Hahh... for once Fried Chicken!!  Yes, this is a side order... a welcoming sight!
Very nice too!
The one in red is Tomato Ramen.... that is my order....
A meal for one person!
Ramen and Rice two in one....
On another day, we had this....
Yes, it comes with a bowl of rice....around 700-800 yen...
And this is curry egg rice....
This is mine... Shrimp with egg rice....
And on another day... the last night before we left, we went to Osaka Ohsho...
Heard there is a branch in Singapore too!
For me, it is fried rice... chewy fried rice...
Side orders.... Fried Dumplings
Claypot Japanese beancurd...
Rice wrapped with Egg.... nicely done!
And I love this... Unagi with Fried Rice...
For six persons, averagely one meal cost around 5000 yen... (RM200 plus minus)
That ends my Japan trip and all...
Next destination....

Seafood At Kuromon Ichiba Market, Osaka

ON OUR SECOND FREE N EASY DAY...

We went to Kuromon Ichiba Market, it is really an eye opener for me, I seem to be fascinated with almost everything I saw there.  Food.... Seafood... and their fantastic prices.  Imagine eating two slices of melon for 1,000 yen...*RM37*!!  Two slices only!  But then... one bite on the fruit, I am so WOW by it!  So super juicy that we were not really biting on them!  Alright, very expensive but it is worth trying them out... unfortunately I did not take a picture of them.... I thought it would be like melon.. a normal melon... LOL..

One must go to this market, not to be missed, just eat and don't start to convert... LOL...
I guess this is a tourist spot... a very good one, I say...
Here we are... at the entrance...
This type of Welcoming Robots are a norm there...
Lots of choices... we really had a hard time choosing what to eat....
I cannot resist this Unagi!
And we bought two pieces to try...
Part of our food for breakfast...
Too bad I did not take pictures of the other food we ordered..
I was too busy.... really busy!
Why did I keep taking this???..
Saw this too....
Fresh and succulent... 3,000 yen if not mistaken!
Grilled flesh....
So what do we have here?
This!!
Just have to be patient and queue up for our turn....
Take our pick!
And he will do the cooking....
With the shell as the "pan"
And after a few minutes....
EAT!
Yes, we tried this too....
Sea Urchin!
First time I see and eat this.... RAW....
It is served like this... RM37 for one...
OK, anyone dare to try?
Tasted something like cockles to me....
Then of course, we tried the Kobe Beef too...
2,000 yen for a small packet...
They grilled for us there and then...
Oh dear, I could not find my photos...
Just too bad....
I guess I have to make another trip to this place again..
LOL...
Empty handed but not not empty stomached..
LOL..
