Not sure what happened, suddenly business stopped, the man "disappeared" and I heard there was franchise on his noodles.. I am not into franchising food products, I prefer the originality so I stopped eating the fried noodles. Then recently, someone told me that the man "reappeared" and this time he was at another location in town along Osborne Street, just behind the former Majestic cinema. The shop is called MXII....
Finally.... I found "him"... yes, same man... cos I remember he is quite "skinny" type...
Still the same look but not as skinny as before... hahahaa...
My girl and I went around 7pm.... not many people as in those days...
Maybe his old customers have not "found" him yet....
On the other side, a couple was preparing dumplings.....
While waiting for our fried noodles, we ordered these below...
Called "Kau Chee"... I prefer those with leeks fillings......RM6 for 5 of these...
We ordered a bowl of egg gravy flat noodles...
AKA... Wat Tan Hor... RM6
And a plate of fried meehoon....RM6
Well, how was the taste?
Not too bad...
Will come by again.... this time with a bigger group...
Can taste more varieties!
Do they have steamed one for the Kau Chee?
ReplyDeleteNot sure Sharon .. Next time I check
DeleteDon't forget about me, when you go again, if not, i will sulk in a corner and sobssss....
ReplyDeleteHahaaa I won't forget a crying baby here..
DeleteLost & found....glad that you have found him. Overall, nice food but the bihun looks like "tang hoon" to me.
ReplyDeleteFine noodles they are..
DeleteHalf an hour, ok lah. Longer than that - I'd just go and eat something else.
ReplyDeleteMustn't be too hungry when go there ... Hahaaa
DeleteNow that you blog about it, more people will "found" him again, then you will go back to waiting 45 minutes..
ReplyDeleteYou have a point there, RG!!!
DeleteBuntong is the name of the place or the name of the fried noodles?? haha.. anyway, maybe the boss went to venture something else and then back in action now?? whatever, as long as you found him again and can eat his nice cooking once again!! i love the gravy flat noodles and also the fried beehoon..
